Fireboy DML Makes List of Youtube Black Voices Class of 2021
Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML has made the list of artistes and creators receiving support from Youtube’s Black Voices class of 2021.
This announcement was made on the 12th of January 2021 by Fireboy DML who revealed via an Instagram post that he was honored to be part of the Youtube Black Voices Class of 2021. He wrote;

YouTube included 22 other African creators set to join its three-week incubator programme to be followed by training, workshops, and networking programs. The 23 creators make up the list for its black voices creator class of 2021. The program is meant to be a source through which Youtube invest in fresh narratives on the video platform “that emphasizes the intellectual power, authenticity, dignity, and joy of Black voices.”
Speaking about the initiative, Alex Okosi, YouTube EMEA’s MD for emerging markets, he said;
“We’re excited to spotlight Black creatives from the African continent and amplify their voices as they create original content on our platform. African creators on YouTube are reshaping the power of our platform by providing a unique perspective on all manner of topics from fashion and comedy to politics, learning and wellness. Through their content, these creators continue to raise the bar for how others engage with their audiences and build community on our platform.”
Fireboy DML makes the list of 132 personalities from across the world who will be participating in the 2021 class.
