I have seen a lot of women, artistes to be precise. Local and international and I just have to admit, none of these people are badder than this particular celebrity I am about to talk about.
Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
Hell yes, I said it with my chest.
From music to acting, from acting to business and hell, this fire keeps burning and we cannot seem to stop it because that is who she is. A strong go getter who is out for the money, something some women find so hard to do.
Rihanna was born on February 20, 1988 in Saint Michael and raised in Bridgetown, Barbados. Discovered by American record producer Evan’s Roger who invited her to the United States to record demo tapes.
Robyn Fenty known to the world simply as Rihanna, is a singer, actress and businesswoman. Ever since she started her music career, Rihanna became a pop icon and received numerous awards and accolades for her work.
The singer’s childhood was affected by her father’s alcohol and drug addiction and by her parents’ divorce. She struggled with extreme headaches for several years and singing served her as an escape from all the tension.
At the age of 16, Rihanna got the opportunity to pursue a career in music so she moved to the US and never looked back. She signed a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings and soon released her debut album, Music of the Sun, which proved to be a great success, reaching no. 10 on the Billboard albums chart.
In 2017, Rihanna launched her own cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty, which quickly became popular due to its broad inclusivity across skin types and tones. In that year, her brand was even named one of Time magazine’s best inventions.
A very successful artist with an amazing voice and catchy songs, Rihanna is one of the best-selling artists of all time.

The 33-year-old Barbadian entertainer and mogul has nine Grammy awards,10 signature fragrances, thriving beauty and lingerie businesses, and a new ready-to-wear line for the fashion behemoth LVMH.
In her interview with her friend and Oceans 8 castmate, Sarah Paulson, she discussed about how she has always loved makeup as a child.
In her words;
“I had one dream and that was for my music to be heard all over the world. I didn’t even think about the fame part, and then that came, and I was like, “Oh, shoot. Do I really want to do this?” But the thing that keeps me alive and passionate is being creative. With every business outlet, I’m making something from a vision to a reality, and that’s the thing I really enjoy. Music had led me to these other outlets, and to things that I genuinely love. My mom pretty much worked in the beauty and perfume industry for a long time—she did makeup for people and was a makeup artist—so I always loved that. I was not allowed to wear makeup for a very long time. But I would watch her in the mirror doing her makeup, obsessed”
She has broken a handful of Guinness World Records, she was the first black woman to be the face of Dior, she has acted with everyone from Cara Delevingne to Cate Blanchett and former president Barack Obama has called her “a powerful force in the fight to give people opportunity, dignity, and hope.”
And yet, there’s another side to the blunt-smoking purveyor of genre-shattering pop that few people ever get to see. “I’m so shy,” she says, “I don’t even want you to know I’m shy.”
We all know that unlike celebrities who are known for clout chasing or scandalous moments, Riri as she is fondly called is definitely not on those lists. Funny how Rihanna manages to keep a relatively low profile—at least for one of the most famous women in the world. She has featured in movies like Oceans 8, Home (an animated movie you really need to watch after you are done reading this) , Battleship etc.
A model, actress, entrepreneur, musician and a brand ambassador, now tell me, what is there not to like about Riri?
