According to award-winning Nigerian entertainment show host pundits and Afrobeats enthusiasts, Wizkid was first a backup vocalist for female rapper Kel before he became a mainstream artist.

In a tweet that has been sighted on Joey Akan’s Twitter page, he revealed that Wizkid just didn’t wake up and started calling himself a musician but he passed through all the necessary ranks.

Well, it’s now safe to say that Wizkid has paid his sues and enjoying the fruits of his hard labour.

This is also a great message to all the struggling youths out there that consistency is key because Wizkid is now a millionaire and globally recognised artiste.
