On Thursday, Nicki Minaj angered Londoners by arriving over five hours late for a meet and greet and then sped out when she noticed the tumultuous crowd.

The superstar was in the UK after playing a delayed concert at Wireless Festival in London’s Finsbury Park the night before, a show that was marred by technical difficulties and sound problems.

To the relief and joy of thousands of them who spotted her SUV and ran in a frenzy alongside it, the star who had planned to greet fans at noon showed up just after 5pm.

According to Metro entertainment, Nicki, who was wearing a long orange wig and a baseball cap, temporarily tried to escape the jeep but was quickly ushered back inside by her security after being surrounded and swamped by the throng. They then sped off in their car.
