Singer Davido crowned Afrobeats’ Benevolent King
Nigerian singer Davido has been named Afrobeats’ benevolent king by Rolling stone magazine.
The Rolling stone magazine revealed several things that makes Davido the Afrobeats’ benevolent king.
According to the publication, Davido determined to put on nothing however African designers for his performances and appearances, just like the Forty Seven matches he wore on stage in New York and Toronto, or the bejeweled Emmy Kasbit button-down he donned on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
The tour was titled ‘We Rise by Lifting Others,’ the Omo Baba Olowo crooner brought Osun Oshogbo sacred groove shrine to the stage.
Rolling stones also made mention of his grand acts of giving, like when he crowdsourced over $600,000 for his twenty ninth birthday, pledged it to orphanages throughout Nigeria, and shared a record of the donations.
