Regina Daniels, a well-known Nollywood actress, claims that the Nigerian film industry is a risky place for young ladies.

In a video she posted on her Instagram page, the mother of two made this claim while discussing her recent interaction with a 14-year-old cosmetic artist she met on a set.

She claims that after talking to the little girl, the 14-year-old admitted to regularly spending the evenings in various people’s hotel rooms, some of whom take advantage of her.

Since Regina had entered the profession as a young girl and is aware of the risks it poses to children, she expressed her deep worry for the little girl.

Regina, who dubbed Nollywood a “danger zone,” described how, while she was a youngster working there, Rita Daniels and her mother protected her from being sexually raped by producers.

She claimed that after hearing about the girl’s situation, she decided to enroll her in a boarding school in Delta State and was shocked by the results of the entrance exam.

Regina chastised her coworkers for previously turning a blind eye to the girl and begged them to do the same moving forward. She noted that she has also vowed to fight against any movie producer who casts young children in their films.
