Rapper Odumodublvck has been declared Rookie of the Year award winner at the 16th edition of Headies Awards last night in Atlanta.

The Declan Rice crooner, who had his huge breakthrough between late 2022 and early 2023, took home the award for Rookie of Year and an other one for Best Rap Single (won by his hit song ‘Declan Rice’).

Odumodublvck was nominated along with Khaid, Bayanni, Bloody Civilian and others, in the Rookie of the Year category. Few months ago, shortly after the nomination list was out, Khaid and Odumodublvck had a social media banter about who was deserving of the award.

In one of his posts then, Khaid argued that he was more deserving of it than Odumodublvck for the fact that he had more streams, saying ‘check the numbers’.

These awards mark Odumodublvck’s first-ever at the Headies.
