A woman named Ashley has shared that she is both a mother of 10 children and a grandmother at the age of 36.

Ashley and her husband, Jerry, have 10 kids: Alexis (21), Ashlyn (19), Tre (18), Ava (15), Jerzy (13), Jett (12), Adayah (11), Aila (9), Jrue (2), and Amora (1).

Talking about their family life, Ashley said, “We’re a very close-knit family. Everyone supports each other—whether it’s an activity outside or inside, they’re always each other’s biggest fans.”

When it comes to parenting, Jerry admitted, “I’m the strict one.” Ashley chimed in, “He’s definitely tougher than I am.”

Reflecting on her reaction to finding out her oldest daughter, Alexis, was pregnant, Ashley said, “For a split second, I was shocked and thought, ‘Why would she do this to me?’ But that feeling passed quickly, and we jumped in as ‘Mama bear’ and ‘Papa bear’ to support her in being the best mom she could be.”

When asked how old they were when they became grandparents, Ashley said, “I was 36,” while Jerry added, “I was 38.”

Addressing the judgment they’ve faced, Ashley mentioned, “People have definitely judged us for our daughter having her son, saying things like, ‘You’re just repeating the cycle—you had her at 17, and now she’s a teen mom too.’”
