A 23-year-old man, identified as Solomon has been exposed after attempting to use his sister’s 6-year-old son, Jomiloju, for a money ritual in Ekiti State.

A video circulating on X, formerly Twitter, captured the moment Solomon, handcuffed with his hands behind his back, stood beside the young innocent boy.

It was reported that the suspect, who is from Ayedun, Kwara state, had taken the child to the herbalist, hoping to perform a ritual for wealth.

In an unexpected twist, the herbalist he approached reported him to the police instead of assisting him, leading to his arrest and subsequent confession.

In the video, the man was seen tearfully pleading for mercy. According to Solomon, he was told that Jomiloju would not die but would frequently fall ill, while he himself would become wealthy.

While conversing with the police, he revealed that he promised to send the 6-year-old child to school.

In his words, “I went to be Babalawo, he asked if I had a sibling. I told him yes and he asked me to bring him. He told me that he won’t die but will be falling sick. I told Jomiloju that I will be taking care of him.”
