A video is making the rounds across social media platforms as a Nigerian medical doctor provide quic solution to anyone on what to do if they accidentally knack somoene that has HIV.

In the viral clip making the rounds on photo and video sharing platform, Instagram, the medical doctor said that rushing to do diagnostic centre to do test after accidentally having intercourse with someone that has HIV is not the perfect solution as the test result might come out negative.

Backing up her point, the female medical doctor uttered that HIV virus takes up to 1month to incubate and grow inside the system before showing for any lab result.

Providing the solution, the female medical doctor said that if a person accidentally knack someone that has HIV, the best thing to do is visit hospital or pharmacy and get PEP which is post exposure prophylaxis (PEP), take it within 72 hours of the accient and drink it within 28days and make sure you don’t miss anyone.

The medical doctor concluded that this will help anitbodies fight against virus and by extension the person should do another test again. Watch the video below (swipe to view);
