A young girl in Bayelsa has allegedly taken N150k from her parents to buy a new phone for her younger boyfriend, reportedly to support him in starting internet fraud, popularly known as “Yahoo Yahoo.”

This was disclosed in a post that emerged on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

It was claimed that the teenage girl, driven by love, took the money without her parents’ consent to support her boyfriend’s fraudulent ambitions.

Photos making the rounds online show the young girl sitting on the bare floor alongside a boy believed to be her boyfriend, surrounded by a group of people.

The post has since sparked widespread reactions online, with concerned users flooding the comment section to express their disappointment and alarm over the disturbing development.
