Netanyahu laments as Iran attacks affect son’s wedding date

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed personal grief over the ongoing attacks from Iran, revealing that the crisis has once again disrupted his son’s wedding.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Netanyahu could be heard speaking during an interview, stating that his son Avner’s wedding has been postponed for the second time due to the ongoing conflict with Iran.

We all bear a personal price. It didn’t pass by my family,” he said. “This is the second time my son Avner’s wedding is delayed because of missiles. It’s a huge personal price for him, his fiancée, and our family.”

Netanyahu also used the moment to thank his wife for her support during this difficult period.

The video has since gone viral, prompting reactions from users across social media who flooded the comment section with varied opinions and sympathy.

See some reactions below:

@LauraLoomer: “Bibi’s son can’t hold his wedding. What a shame. I guess this means we need to bomb Iran, huh?”

@GWatcher46: “Maybe attacking Iran unprovoked during peace negotiations was not the right move. Israel would still be intact otherwise. It’s time for the people of Israel to fire Netanyahu.”

@solsynarchy: “How many weddings did he “cancel” by blowing up the future brides and grooms while they were just children He is a sociopath outing himself in real time.”

@Jakques_X: “Notice he didn’t say we all bear responsibility; but rather resorted to an attempt to illicit sympathy for his own personal circumstances.”

@cgestrada: “Hmmm – people are dying and your sacrifice is delaying a party? Not a good look.”
