Nollywood star-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo speaks on his intention to support a Northerner in the 2027 presidential election.

He opened up on this during an interview with Channels TV.

During the interview, Kenneth Okonkwo maintained that no Southerner has the capacity to oust Tinubu in the coming elections.

According to Okonkwo, giving the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential ticket exclusively to a southern candidate would be equivalent to handing victory to Bola Tinubu in the election.

He noted that he would be pitching his tent with a Northerner in the presidential election, as only a Northerner, who has all the support of the North, can truly defeat Tinubu.

Kenneth Okonkwo partly said …

“My own strategy is that I am going to support a northerner in 2027. My condition to the northerners is that it must be a northerner that the whole North would be willing to support…the person must be qualified, have the experience and if he has experience in the presidency, it’s an added advantage…”
