A young Nigerian man has received an unexpected gift from Afrobeat star Odumodublvck after a video of him rapping one of the singer’s tracks went viral on social media.

The moment was first captured by X user @ade_adeayo, who shared how he stumbled upon the talented sales boy at a supermarket on Orchid Road.

“I stopped by a supermarket at Orchid Road to buy a bottle of wine. I saw this sales boy rapping passionately to @Odumodublvck_’s ‘2:02PM In London’ freestyle. I decided to record him and post it. Craziest thing is that he told me he has no phone. So it’s crazy how he can sing every word,” Adeayo wrote.

Odumodublvck steps in

The clip quickly gained traction online and caught the attention of Odumodublvck himself. According to Adeayo, the artist personally reached out and asked him to drive back to the supermarket so he could meet the young man in person.

“OD saw the freestyle, called me, and made me drive back to the mall. He spoke to the guy and gifted him 500K to get a phone. He also gifted the supermarket staff 500K and the entire place went crazy,” Adeayo revealed.
