Rita Daniels, mother of popular actress and billionaire politician’s wife, Regina Daniels, has finally spoken about her daughter’s controversial marriage.

In a viral video trending on social media, Rita revealed that she never wanted her then 18-year-old daughter to marry a 60-year-old man, but Regina insisted on her decision.

I Wasn’t Aware When It Started – Rita Says

Rita explained that when her daughter got married, many people blamed her, accusing her of selling her daughter to an older man. However, she clarified that she was neither aware of the relationship nor supported it in the beginning.

“When Regina got married and the whole world blamed me, saying I forced her to marry a much older man or sold her to an elderly man, Erm… What they didn’t know is that even I didn’t know when they started their relationship,” Rita said.

She further revealed that she was the last person to find out about the relationship between Regina and Ned Nwoko.

I Had To Stand By Her As A Mother

According to her, after discovering the relationship, she confronted Regina to know what was going on. To her surprise, her daughter responded stubbornly and even spoke harshly to her for the first time.

Rita said that as a mother, she eventually chose to stand by her daughter and offer her the best advice she could, despite not supporting the marriage initially.
