Rick Ross claims he was so “smoked-out” when he walked off the set of a recent interview that he didn’t realize it had happened until the story went viral.

Rick Ross was challenged to explain what happened when he unexpectedly walked out of The 85 South Comedy Show on December 17, 2021, and never returned in an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that aired on Monday (April 25). Ross told the famous morning radio show that he was merely sidetracked when going to the restroom, hinting that the combination of a smoking session and a business call forced him to leave the interview in the middle. He claimed he didn’t comprehend what he had done until he saw the headlines about him quitting the chat circulating on the internet.

“I suppose I was just in the zone,” Rozay explained. “I was completely smoked out. I was in my element. When I’m in the zone and one of those money calls comes in, I just let it go. And, to be honest, it was already all over the internet when I found out about it. I was completely unaware of it. I was in my element. I went to the bathroom, talked on the phone, smoked a cigarette, and then you go outside and leave. Rozay just walked away.”

Ricky then clarified that he didn’t have any beef with The 85 South Comedy Show and that he didn’t take issue with anything mentioned during the interview, but that the walk-out was something that happened on the spur of the moment.
