Nigerian singer turned politician, Olubankole Wellington better known as Banky W, has been announced as the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP rerun primary elections for Eti-Osa constituency.

The announcement was made on Monday afternoon after the votes were counted and he polled 24 votes to defeat his opponent, Sam Aiboni, who scored five votes.

PDP had scheduled the rerun for for today, Monday, June 6 after the first primary election in some states held last month was cancelled.
