Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has drawn widespread praise online after a video surfaced showing him serving food to guests at a recent event in Umuchima, Imo State.

The footage, which quickly went viral on social media, captured the former Anambra State Governor walking from table to table, personally attending to guests with a tray in hand.

He was accompanied by members of his team, who respectfully trailed behind him as he interacted warmly with attendees.

The event, which was held in the quiet town of Umuchima, saw Obi join in community festivities in what many described as an unassuming and people-oriented manner. The moment he took it upon himself to serve food was widely described as the highlight of the gathering.

Obi’s gesture has since sparked a wave of commendation across various platforms, with many Nigerians hailing his humility and simplicity, traits that have continued to define his public image and political brand.
